Automotive LPG system installation

LPG uses liquefied petroleum gas and is not interchangeable with a CNG system designed for compressed natural gas. Their storage, operating conditions and components differ. Installation affects fuel, electrical and engine-management systems and belongs with a suitable specialist. Turn.am lists independent providers; it does not install equipment or certify compliance.

Assess the vehicle first

Provide the model, year, engine, injection type, mileage and any previous gas-system history. Existing petrol-mode faults such as misfires, unstable running, warnings or leaks should be diagnosed first. LPG equipment does not repair an underlying engine fault.

Compare complete equipment lists

Request the manufacturer and model of the tank, valve assembly, regulator, filters, injectors, controller, sensors and switch. Agree tank and filler location, documentation and warranty. A label such as “European kit” is not enough for a meaningful comparison.

Calibration and handover

Handover should address leak checks, mounting, protected routing, fuel switching and engine operation. Confirm system calibration and diagnostic checks. Power loss, unstable running or a warning light calls for inspection rather than user adjustment.

Safety and current requirements

Ask which equipment and installation records are supplied and verify current vehicle registration, inspection or use requirements through the competent official source. If gas odour or damage occurs, stop use when safe, avoid flames and sparks and contact a specialist. Never test for leaks with a flame.

Price and maintenance

Cost may reflect engine design, tank, electronics, injectors, fitting complexity, diagnostics and documentation. Compare the exact hardware, installation, calibration, testing, warranty and follow-up inspection. Follow the installed equipment’s documented maintenance schedule.
