January–September 2026: leading service categories, changes in rankings and seasonal patterns.

International tourism leads Turn.am’s service rankings, plumbing services have climbed to second place, and refrigerator repair has entered the top five. In the air-conditioner maintenance and repair category, more than three-quarters of contact actions occurred during the summer.

Turn.am has analyzed activity on its website during the first nine months of 2026, examining actions taken to contact service providers and Google searches that brought visitors to the platform. Category rankings were compared with the same period in 2025.

The Top 10 Service Categories in 2026

The ranking is based on interactions with phone-number, WhatsApp and Viber contact controls on service pages. These actions indicate the categories in which users took a step toward contacting a professional or company.

Rank Service category Share of contact actions
1 International tourism 9.9%
2 Plumbing services 5.0%
3 Tire services 4.5%
4 Air-conditioner maintenance and repair 4.2%
5 Refrigerator repair 4.0%
6 Designated driver services 3.9%
7 Cleaning services 2.4%
8 Property renovation 2.4%
9 Locksmith services 2.3%
10 Doors and windows 2.2%

Period: January 1–September 30, 2026. Shares are calculated against the total number of contact actions across all categories included in the analysis. Percentages are rounded; rankings are based on unrounded figures.

The leading categories span travel, household needs and vehicle-related services. International tourism accounted for approximately one in ten contact actions. Home maintenance and repair categories also feature prominently in the top ten.

Plumbing Services Climbed from 14th to 2nd Place

Comparing January–September 2025 with the same period in 2026, plumbing services recorded one of the most notable shifts among the leading categories, rising from 14th to 2nd place. Their share of contact actions increased from 2.1% to 5.0%.

Refrigerator repair moved from 13th to 5th place over the same comparison period. Its share rose from 2.2% to 4.0%. Both categories accounted for a larger proportion of the platform’s recorded contact activity.

International tourism moved from second to first place, with its share increasing from 5.9% to 9.9%. Tire services retained third place in both periods.

This comparison describes the distribution of activity on Turn.am. A category’s rise in the rankings does not, by itself, indicate an equivalent increase across Armenia’s entire services market. The platform’s audience, the mix of available listings and the visibility of services also influence the results.

Air-Conditioner Services: 77.3% of Contact Actions Occurred in Summer

Air-conditioner maintenance and repair show a pronounced seasonal pattern. Of all contact actions recorded in this category during January–September 2026, 77.3% occurred in June, July and August. July was the busiest month.

Just three of the nine months analyzed therefore accounted for more than three-quarters of the category’s contact activity. For air-conditioner service providers, this offers a useful reference when planning summer workloads and customer service capacity.

August Was the Busiest Month for Refrigerator Repair

In the refrigerator repair category, June–August accounted for 69.6% of contact actions recorded during the nine-month period. August alone accounted for 43.5%.

The two categories peaked at different times: air-conditioner services were busiest in July, while refrigerator repair peaked in August. The data establishes this seasonal concentration but does not independently identify the causes of appliance failures or customer inquiries.

Which Google Searches Brought Visitors from Armenia to Turn.am?

Google Search Console data filtered to Armenia shows that leading service-related queries included “stap varord”, “egiptos tur”, “եգիպտոս փաթեթներ 2026” and “սթափ վարորդ”. These refer to designated driver services, Egypt tours and Egypt holiday packages for 2026. They are queries that generated clicks from Google to Turn.am.

Egypt-related searches complement the leading position of international tourism in the contact-activity ranking. Designated driver services also stand out in both sources: Google queries and the contact-action ranking, where the category places sixth.

The queries include Armenian written in both Armenian and Latin characters, showing that users find the same services through different spellings. These results are not a comprehensive ranking of all Google searches made in Armenia.

Methodology

The main source for the analysis is phone, WhatsApp and Viber contact activity attributable to service pages on the Turn.am website, covering January 1–September 30 in both 2025 and 2026. Mobile-app events and events with invalid types were excluded. The platform applies bot filtering.

Rankings are based on recorded actions. These do not represent unique customers, completed conversations or confirmed orders. Year-over-year comparisons are presented through category positions and shares as a description of platform activity, rather than a precise measure of growth in market demand.

The search section uses a Google Search Console export filtered to Armenia for January–September 2026. The analysis considers the top 1,000 exported queries; the list does not include every search. Queries seeking the Turn.am brand were excluded from the examples presented.

The study describes the behavior of Turn.am users and is not a representative survey of Armenia’s entire population. Published findings use percentages and rankings without disclosing users’ personal information.
